About Beit HaZohar

Rabbeinu, the revered tzadik and author of Matok Midvash Zat'zal, devoted his entire life to bringing merit to the public. He frequently urged his students to continue his sacred mission after his passing, to the best of their ability and even beyond. This heartfelt request was answered, as his students, with special Divine assistance, have carried on his holy work with even greater strength and dedication. This effort led to the establishment of a network of kollels devoted to sacred study, including regular lessons on the Holy Zohar with Rabbeinu’s esteemed and beloved commentary, as well as advanced study frameworks for other Kabbalistic works such as Sha’ar HaKavanot, Otzrot Chaim, and more. These include evening kollels and a special midnight kollel where distinguished Torah scholars engage in lofty matters until the morning prayer at sunrise.

Rabbeinu’s greatest desire was to expand this holy endeavor and provide clear explanations for the writings of the Ari Zat'zal, making them accessible to an ever-growing number of Jews seeking the light of Torah’s truth. He began this task with renewed vigor, but Divine providence willed otherwise, and he passed away before completing this mission. His final request to his descendants and students was to continue this work, following the path he had set through his earlier commentaries.

Following his passing, his devoted students strengthened their commitment and took upon themselves the mission to fulfill his vision. This led to the founding of the renowned Matok Midvash Institute, which, for over a decade, has steadily grown and excelled in spreading the light of the Holy Zohar and the writings of the Ari Zat'zal.

At regular intervals, the Institute publishes the Holy Zohar with explanations, as well as interpretative works on the Kabbalistic teachings of the Ari and his disciples, such as Otzrot Chaim, Sha’ar HaGilgulim, Sha’ar HaKavanot, and others. These publications have earned high regard among scholars of Kabbalah and Torah. Additionally, the Institute frequently produces select booklets containing sacred teachings from the Holy Zohar, focusing on essential topics for daily life. These booklets aim to open the eyes of those blinded by materialism and inspire spiritual growth, guiding readers toward character refinement and proper conduct. Tens of thousands of these booklets are distributed free of charge across Jewish communities in Israel and abroad.
